Define Internet addressing

When we want to communicate with a computer through internet, we need to specify the address of that computer; every computer connected to internet is given a address, called the IP address (Internet Protocol Address). The IP address is a computer consists of four groups of numbers separated by periods or (.) dots. For example 18.220.121.2 is an IP address. Computers are also given another address, which is text-based. For example, skp.mit.edu is a valid Internet address
